Vanchi Poor Fund (VPF) is widely regarded as the first organized mid-day meal initiative in India, established in 1941. Sir C.P. Ramaswami Iyer has introduced this scheme by starting Vanchi Poor Fund for underprivileged children to Increase school attendance, support poor students and encourage education in Travancore under the noble vision of Travancore Royal Family.
All these years Vanchi Poor Fund has been a trusted beacon of hope and compassion in Kerala., theVPF has dedicated itself to improving lives through its long-standing commitment to serving the needy with dignity and care. From providing nutritious meals to underprivileged schoolchildren to supporting elderly women through residential care at Ammaveedu, our mission extends across generations and communities.
